Reusable Hose Ends

WHAT ARE REUSABLE HOSE FITTINGS USED FOR?

Reusable hose ends are different from regular hydraulic fittings in that they are not permanently attached to the hydraulic hose. Reusable (or field attachable) hose ends do not require crimping to attach to the hydraulic hose. A collar is placed over the end of the hose, and then a stem is threaded into the collar, creating a seal. The fittings can be tightened by hand or with hand tools. When it is time to remove either the hydraulic hose or the fitting, simply unscrew the collar from the stem and remove the fitting.
